Medic is gearing up for the upcoming Labor Day holiday by offering a special incentive. Donors who give blood on Sept. 1 will receive one free Regal Cinema Movie pass good for any movie, no restrictions.
The blood collected during this event will tested and hospital-ready in the event of any emergencies that might occur during the Labor Day holiday.
There are two community blood drives on Sept. 1:
Burke’s Outlet/Pigeon Forge, 2655 Teaster Lane, 11a.m. to 6 p.m., Bloodmobile.
Family Dollar/Sevierville, 122 E. Main Street, noon to 7 p.m., Bloodmobile.
Donors must be 17 years of age or older, weight 110 pounds or more (16 year-olds weighing 120 pounds or more can donate but must have parental consent) and all donors must have positive identification.
Medic, a not-for-profit organization, is the sole provider of blood for Blount Memorial Hospital and 26 other East Tennessee hospitals.
