Crews have been at work the past few weeks repaving more than 10 miles of road in Seymour and are set to finish as planned.
Jonas Smelcer, Road Superintendent for the Sevier County Highway Department, indicated that crews are currently working on Chilhowee School Road and in the Crispwood subdivision.
“We are trying to finish up Chilhowee School Road today if nothing happens,” he said.
Weather remains the biggest factor, but has not caused any major halts in the project yet.
“We hope to be complete in seven to eight working days in Seymour,” Smelcer said.
Traffic delays in the current work areas are minor.
