Three Sevier County teenagers have been charged in connection with the burglary of a Kodak business.
At approximately 3 a.m. July 27 an employee of Mustang Performance on Tuckahoe Rd. came to the business to pick up his vehicle when he saw a teenage boy climbing over the fence that encloses the business.
The employee ordered the boy to stop before detaining him. The employee then called the Sheriff’s Office.
While enroute to the scene, officers saw two men sitting in a vehicle parked beside Hwy. 139 near the business.
After investigating at the scene, the officers determined that the two men in the car had dropped the boy off at Mustang Performance before he entered the fenced-in enclosure.
The boy caught at the scene, a 17 year old, was charged with criminal trespassing and was taken to the Sevier County Juvenile Detention Center.
The two men in the car, Austin Suttles, age 19 of Sevierville, and Joseph Proffitt, 18 of Kodak, were transported to Sevier County Jail and initially charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Both men were booked into jail on a $2,000 bond and an Aug. 29 hearing date has been set.
More charges are pending on the trio at this time.
