July 28 is the final scheduled day for interested buyers to attend an auction for several properties of hotel chain owner Ken Seaton.
The sale is being handled by Alley Auction of Knoxville and follows a previous event last Saturday that included hotels, homes and other properties in Pigeon Forge and Sevierville.
Auctioneer David Alley said that each property would be handled individually during the auction and was pleased with how the first sale turned out.
“It went really well,” Alley said.  “Everything was purchased.”
The July 28 auctions will include sites in Knoxville and will reduce Seaton’s expansive holdings to about half.
Earlier this year, Seaton pleaded guilty to simple assault charges related to alleged sexual incidents with women he employed and was sentenced to 90 days in jail.  He maintained his innocence in two other cases.
Seaton’s lawyers called his actions a result of an alcohol problem that he had long been battling.
Seaton indicated that the sale of his properties had been planned for some time and was not related to his legal troubles.
