The Knoxville Track Club has announced the Inaugural Marble City Half Marathon set to take place on Nov. 6 at 7:06 a.m. in downtown Knoxville.
This event will start on the Clinch Avenue Bridge at the Sunsphere and run through downtown to 4th and Gill, the Old City, Island Home Neighborhood, and will finish on Market Street adjacent to Krutch Park.
Registration will open on Aug. 1 and early registration cost is $45 through Sunday, Sept. 4. Late registration will be $55 from September 5 through November 2 and race day registration will cost $65. KTC discount is $10 for this event and is available through Sunday, November 2. Refunds will not be given and transfers are not allowed for this event.
Race participants will receive a goody bag and a long sleeve race shirt. Women’s sizing will be available and all participants will receive a shirt.
The Knoxville Track Club will offer weekly long runs on Saturday’s beginning on August 20, 2011 and will meet each week at various locations. The training program will be free to the community and everyone is welcome to attend.
