Despite the rain, many die-hard cruisers braved the weather to attend last weekend’s Seymour Cruise-In.
Seymour Cruise-In is a local car show held in the parking lots of Seymour Pharmacy and Wendy’s in the Macon Crossing Shopping Center.
The event is held every Saturday at 5 p.m., and features local rides along with classic rock spun by a disc jockey, as well as deals and promotions offered from local businesses.
There will also be a new addition to the popular Seymour event this weekend, a swap meet which is scheduled to be held monthly.
Organizers hope that cruise-goers will bring car parts, or basically anything else they want to sell or exchange to the first swap meet.
“We thought it would be a good way to help people make a little extra money,” cruise organizer Steve Rico said.
There will be no charge to sell or trade items.
Seymour Cruise-In is a family-friendly event and organizers invite residents with all makes and models of cars to attend.
