World Finance will be holding a grand opening for their new Seymour branch and everyone is encouraged to turn out for the fun.
Located in the Macon Crossing Shopping Center, the branch has been operating since April, but hopes the grand opening events will get the word out.  The Sevier County Sheriff’s Department will be in attendance, giving free fingerprinting for children and replacing faulty children car seats for free.  There will also be a radio station on hand, a fire truck and balloon animals.
Branch manager Tiffany Owens indicated that the new location was opened to help expand World Finance’s reach further into Sevier County.  They already operate one location in Sevierville and several in Knoxville, in addition to those nationwide.
“Here it’s starting off slowly, but as a company we’re growing by leaps and bounds,” she said.
This was a good time to get involved in the rapidly expanding Seymour area, according to assistant manager Paul Carter.
Their branch handles loans from $200 to $3,500 and will finance products and electronics.  They also do taxes.
“We’re the best finance company out there,” Owens said.
She said she more or less just stumbled upon a career in the finance industry, but added that it has proven a rewarding career.  Carter, who owned a video store and tanning salon for years and is also a minister, started in a similar fashion, but feels he is now in the right place.
“Best job I’ve ever had,” he said.
The new branch is still on the hunt for part time help, according to Owens, and maybe more depending on the person they find.
“We have a lot of advancement opportunities, so we’re always looking to replace people who have moved up,” she said.
World Finance’s grand opening is scheduled for July 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information call the office at (865) 577-4019.
