New York Times best-selling author Amy Greene will teach the workshop, “Beginning the Novel,” from 2 to 4 p.m. July 23 at the Redeemer Church, 1642 Highland Ave., Knoxville.
The workshop is sponsored by the Knoxville Writers’ Guild, the cost is $15 for Guild members and $20 for nonmembers.
Greene will focus on inspiration, the planning stage and character development.
“For those who have already begun novels, it would be great to bring their first one-to-five pages, given the importance of those first few pages in grabbing the reader’s interest and in potentially landing an agent,” she said.
To register, go to www.knoxvillewritersguild.org or send check to KWG Workshops, P.O. Box 10326, Knoxville TN 37939-0326.
For more information on the workshop, contact Guild President Terry Shaw at tshaw05@comcast.net.
