A two-vehicle accident caused a substantial traffic backup on Chapman Hwy. Monday.
The accident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Chapman and Hendrons Chapel Road.
The airbags were deployed in both vehicles, but no serious injuries were reported.
The Seymour Fire Department, Tennessee Hwy. Patrol and Rural Metro Ambulance Service responded to the scene.
One lane in each direction of Chapman Hwy. was blocked by the accident.
Crews were still clearing the scene as of 5:30 p.m.
Calls made to the Tennessee Hwy. Patrol were not returned by press time Wednesday evening.
