The five Area Rotary Clubs of Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, Gatlinburg and Seymour are forming a Sevier County Rotaract Club.
Rotaract is an international organization of young professionals and students ages 18 to 30 that are committed to service and leadership in their communities and abroad.
The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.
Becoming a Rotaract member is an excellent opportunity for the young men and women in Sevier County to address the needs and concerns of the community while developing their professional and leadership skills. This will also prepare them for eventual membership into a Rotary Club.
There will be an informational meeting at 5:30 p.m. May 3 at the Pigeon Forge Community Center. Free pizza and bowling and an informational meeting will follow the start time.
