On May 14 the Seymour Breakfast Rotary Club will host their third annual Ride for a Polio-Free World, joining Rotary Clubs nationwide in working to match the $200 million donation by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Registration will begin at 1 p.m. at the Knoxville Harley-Davidson West, 605 Lovell Road, Concord, and includes a tee shirt with the $20 fee.  Passengers can ride for $15.
The event will kick off at 3 p.m., with their destination the Sevier County Utility District’s pavilion, with a quick stop at First Baptist Church in Seymour to refresh.
The day does not end there, however.  Food and live entertainment will be provided, followed by a series of prize giveaways.  Organizers said the event will go on as long as people are enjoying themselves.
In the event of rain, the ride will by pushed back to May 21.  For more information, contact Larry Finchum at (865) 740-3514.
