At least one person was transported by ambulance after a two-car accident blocked off Chapman Highway Monday afternoon.
Sevier County Sheriff’s deputies redirected traffic at the intersection of Simmons Road and Chapman Hwy. while responders from the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department, Sevier County Ambulance Service, and the Gatlinburg Fire and Rescue Service worked the scene.
The driver of one of the vehicles was rushed to the hospital.  Her condition is currently unknown.  Both vehicles were later towed.
