Have you had a hard time keeping up with the calendar as well as the season's lately? We have been in this pattern where it gets unusually warm, then we have a round of severe weather, and then it turns around and gets unseasonably cool. It looks like this pattern will be with us at least a little while longer.
After a chilly start, Thursday will be an absolutely wonderful Spring day to enjoy. I think I may even have to play hooky myself! Not only will we enjoy plenty of sunshine along with low humidity, high temperatures will rebound nicely to the low and mid 70s.
Don't get too spoiled on Thursday as clouds will roll back into the area by Thursday night and Friday. I'm sorry to tell some of you that we will probably see yet another round of showers and even some thunder storms developing on Friday and they will continue into Friday night.
As the weather roller coaster continues, after seeing temperatures in the 70s both Thursday and Friday, we will be lucky to reach the 50s for high temperatures once again on Saturday. It will be another one of those cloudy, breezy and chilly days with even about a 40 percent chance of more scattered showers for parts of the area.
So is the entire weekend going to be a washout? Absolutely not. Mother Nature wouldn't do that to us. The sun will return on Sunday. Although temperatures will remain below normal, we should still reach near 60 on Sunday and drop to near 40 again by early Monday morning, so don't put those coats and sweaters away just yet.
Partly cloudy early next week with a slight chance of a few showers returning by Tuesday. So buckle up and prepare to take another ride on the East Tennessee weather roller coaster again this week. In a few months, some of us will be wishing for a cold front to make it this far south.
