The Parent Talk Series is a series of quarterly programs designed to help parents deal with some of today’s challenges. During these meetings, professionals from Sevier County address current issues facing children and how parents should respond
This month, the Parent Talk topic focuses on how to recognize and assist your child in dealing with bullying and other forms of peer pressure.
On April 7, a panel discussion featuring Kimberly Robbins, Ed. S, Rhonda Pemberton, LCSW, & Don Myers, Sevierville Police Department. The panel discussion focuses on the different types of bullying and how to recognize each. Finally, teaching your kids how to prevent or solve bullying and peer pressure problems will be the highlight of the discussion.
This free meeting will occur in the Burchfield Room at the King Family Library, 408 High Street, in Sevierville. Light snacks will be available at 5:30 p.m. The program begins at 6 p.m. All parents are welcome, however, registration is requested.
