Two Sevier County teenagers have been arrested in connection with the theft of a vehicle in Sevier County.
On Feb. 11 a 1998 Ford truck was stolen from Smoky Mountain Ziplines on Mill Creek Road.
On Feb. 16 a Pigeon Forge Police Department officer stopped the vehicle on Wears Valley Road which was occupied by three white males.
Two of the subjects fled on foot and the other was detained at the scene. The two who fled were caught after a short foot chase by officers.
After checking the truck it was determined that it was the stolen truck from Smoky Mountain Ziplines. Detectives from Sevier County Sheriff’s Office were notified and an officer went to the scene.
After and investigation, two teens, both 14 years old, were charged with Theft over $10,000 by Sevier County Detectives and it was determined that the third teen was not involved and was released.
Pigeon Forge PD also charged the teens with additional charges relating to them feeling from the officer.
Both teens were transported to Sevier County Juvenile Detention Center and a hearing will be held at a later date.
