Stephen Lowe, general manager for Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sevierville / Kodak, earned the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce Friendship Award for January at the recent Coffee Talk event. Lowe has worked with Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sevierville / Kodak since the property opened in 2009.
“The Sevierville Chamber really wants businesses to succeed,” says Lowe. “This Chamber is great because there are partners from every realm of business, not just hospitality. That works for me because I’m able to make contacts with a variety of people in different types of businesses. It’s all about networking. The Chamber works if you use it.”
As a thank you for his dedication, Lowe received two season passes to Ober Gatlinburg and a plaque courtesy of Sign Master.
“Stephen is new to the Sevierville Chamber, but he has jumped right in by attending events and bringing guests with him,” says Sevierville Chamber of Commerce membership coordinator Jim McGill.
Sevierville Chamber of Commerce Friendship Awards are based on points accumulated monthly from attending Chamber functions and volunteering as well as bringing inactive members and potential new members to Chamber events. Monthly points will go towards determining the Chamber Friend of the Year Award recipient.  
The next Chamber Friendship Award will be presented during Coffee Talk on March15, 2011, hosted by Dollywood. Coffee Talk begins at 8am at the Sevierville Civic Center.  Guests are welcome to attend and learn more about the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce.
