The Great South Athletic Conference has awarded its Player of the Week honor in men's basketball to Eryk Watson of Maryville College for the second time this season.
The Scot also claimed the honor in the first week of the season and brings the award to the Maryville men's basketball program for a second time in 2010-11.
Watson's GSAC honor comes on the heels of his Tournament MVP performance at the 2010 Smokey Ballenger Classic held on the campus of Otterbein University. The senior wing sent MC to the finals of the tournament with a 34 point performance over Ohio Wesleyan.
Shooting six of 12 from distance, Watson helped the Scots claim their second Smokey Ballenger title with a 15 point performance against the host Otterbein in the tournament's championship game.
Watson also posted 22 points at Greensboro averaging over 23 points in three appearances for the Scots on the week and places 7th nationally in all of NCAA Division-III in scoring.
