Tom Webster, a junior forward from Knoxville, Tennessee has been recognized for his accomplishments in the classroom and on the field by being named to the 2010 NSCAA Men’s College Scholar All-America Team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
He is one of 43 players named to the 2010 NSCAA Men’s College Scholar All-America squad.
This Bearden High School graduate earned 2009 and 2010 Great South Athletic Conference All-Academic accolades while being named to the Great South’s All-Conference team the past two seasons. MC’s 2009 Offensive MVP paced Maryville in 2010 with 20 points.
He accumulated team highs in goals (7) and assists (6) while leading MC to a 13-5-1 overall record. Since putting on the orange and garnet, Webster’s Scots have earned three straight GSAC Tournament titles. Webster is an International Business Major with a 3.50 grade point average.
The NSCAA scholar-athletes will be honored at the annual All-America Luncheon, to be held at the Hilton Baltimore Hotel on Saturday, Jan. 15, as part of the 2011 NSCAA Convention.
