DECEMBER 16:

The Seymour High School Drama Department will perform a selection of Christmas plays directed by Niki Thomas. The plays will include, “The True Story of Rudolph,” “A Tour of Santa’s Workshop,” “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” and “T’was the Night Before Christmas.” The performance will be held at the Seymour High School auditorium at 7 p.m. The cost of admission is a $1 donation to help to support the theatre department.

Knoxville-Knox Co. MPC hosts the 4th Annual Tour de Lights, Thursday at 7pm, leaving from Market Street at Krutch Park (downtown Knoxville).  Free bike safety checks start at 6pm.  The 6-mile bike tour is friendly to all ages and takes less than an hour.  For more information, call (865) 215-2500 or visit www.knoxtrans.org.

Westminster Presbyterian Church Schilling Art Gallery through Dec. 31 at Westminster Presbyterian Church Northshore Drive and Lyons View. The public is invited to to view the artwork in the Schilling Gallery during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm) or anytime during Sunday worship (9am-Noon).
About the Schilling Gallery: Six years ago, Westminster Presbyterian church members dedicated teh new wing connecting the new sanctuary with the original building. The "new connector" contains the Schilling Gallery, named for Minister Emeritus, Fritz Schilling, who retired in 2004 after nineteen years of service at the church.  Every two months, a new show is presented, often filling the gallery's walls and extending into the narthex. Members, vistors and artists all benefit from being able to enjoy and display artistic expressions.
