Brandon Hollingsworth has been named the local host for NPR's "All Things Considered" at the University of Tennessee's public radio station, WUOT 91.9 FM.
In addition to hosting the popular nationally syndicated program for the station, Hollingsworth will serve as a reporter in WUOT's award-winning news department.
"Brandon brings experience, intelligence, excitement and a true passion for public radio to our news staff," Director of News Content Matt Shafer Powell said. "He has proven himself to be a talented reporter and host for other public radio stations, and I'm confident he will be an excellent addition to our team."
Hollingsworth comes to WUOT from Alabama Public Radio in Tuscaloosa, where he was the "Morning Edition" host/reporter for two years. Prior to that, he was news director and "Morning Edition" host/reporter for WLJS-FM in Jacksonville, Ala.
Hollingsworth holds a bachelor's degree in communications with a minor in political science from Jacksonville State University.
Originally from St. Clair County, Ala., Hollingsworth lives in North Knoxville.
