The Knoxville Museum of Art celebrates the holidays on Dec. 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a Free Family Fun Day packed with art activities, artist demonstrations, continuous entertainment on stage, and docent-led gallery talks.
Children can create art inspired by the KMA’s Higher Ground: A Century of the Visual Arts in East Tennessee, David Bates: The Katrina Paintings, or the Fifth Annual East Tennessee Regional Student Art Exhibition.
Entertainment for Family Fun Day includes live music by CanJoe John and pianist Ben Maney, as well as ventriloquist Ron Lighty and Jason.
Artist demonstrators for Family Fun Day are Marlee Parnell and Gigi Wright. Additionally, Goldie & Da Bearz, a movie created by the CommunitySchool of the Arts, will show at 2 p.m. in the KMA Auditorium. The day also includes free face painting and refreshments for sale.
