The City of Sevierville has issued a traffic alert for the downtown area effective Dec. 4.
Sevierville’s annual Christmas Parade is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., leaving from First Baptist Church on the Parkway and winding throughout much of the downtown area, including Main Street, Forks of the River Parkway, Court Avenue and Honey Lane.
The parade generally lasts approximately one hour.
 Motorists should consider avoiding this area from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. as considerable delays may occur.
