Sevierville’s Bloomin’ BBQ & Bluegrass event has been named a Top 20 Event by Southeast Tourism Society for May 2011.
Bloomin’ BBQ & Bluegrass was nominated and selected from among the best events across the Southeast to receive this designation. This is the second time the event has received the Top 20 designation.
“Every year we try our best to create an event that draws both out of town visitors and locals to enjoy great entertainment, food and fun,” says Sevierville Chamber marketing director Amanda Marr. “Earning this recognition two years in a row really highlights what a quality event Sevierville’s Bloomin’ BBQ & Bluegrass is.”
Events listed on Southeast Tourism Society’s Top 20 Events list typically garner additional media exposure in a variety of publications as the list is sent to over 1,600 newspapers, magazines, radio stations, TV stations, AAA publications and more.
Bloomin’ BBQ & Bluegrass is a family friendly event celebrating championship barbeque and bluegrass music. Entertainers for the 2011 event include Jerry Butler, Blue Moon Rising, Jimbo Whaley & Greenbrier, IIIrd Tyme Out, Mountain Ruckus, Larry Sparks, Junior Sisk, Balsam Range and more. The next Bloomin’ BBQ & Bluegrass event will be held May 20 and 21, 2011 in downtown Sevierville.
