Maryville College junior defensive end Blake Barnes was named to the D3football National Team of the Week following his effort against Ferrum College to conclude the 2010 season.
Barnes, a LaBelle, Florida native, had eight total tackles, six solo, along with three and a half sacks and two more tackles for loss in the final regular season game of the season in Ferrum, Virginia.
The two-time All-USA South performer also had three quarterback pressures in helping Maryville limit Ferrum to 21 total yards rushing.
Ferrum was averaging over 240 yards rushing in their option offensive attack.
