The 26th annual BlueCross Autumnfest 8K & Two Mile Walk will take place at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 25 in the parking lot at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in downtown Knoxville’s Volunteer Landing.  The BlueCross Little Gobbler Run will take place at 8 a.m. on Nov. 25 along Neyland Greenway adjacent to the Riverboat and Calhoun’s Restaurant.
Race day registration is from 6:45 to 8:15 a.m. and costs $30.  The registration fee for walkers is $15 through race day. Knoxville Track Club members can deduct $5 during early registration only as part of their membership benefits. Participants who choose not to get a t-shirt may deduct $5 from their registration at any time.  Cost for the BlueCross Little Gobbler Run is $5 through race day and no discounts apply.
This year’s event also benefits Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee.  Participants, volunteers and spectators are encouraged to bring canned food items (no limit) and will receive a raffle ticket for each item.  The Knoxville Track Club will have a drawing after the race for prizes such as a Garmin 110, restaurant gift certificates and tickets to the Fantasy of Trees.  All canned food items will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee.  Winners must be present to win.
The BlueCross Autumnfest 8K course is fast and flat running out and back on Neyland Drive along the Tennessee River. The BlueCross Autumnfest Two Mile Walk will go out and back along the Neyland Drive greenway.  The BlueCross Little Gobbler Run is a fast 200-yard dash along the Neyland Greenway.
The BlueCross Autumnfest 8K will award overall participants, age groups and team competitors. All walkers will receive a finisher ribbon.
