The Gatlinburg Festival of Trees, a holiday tradition for over 40 years, is being held Tuesday, Nov. 23 through Saturday, Nov. 27.
Smoky Mountain Area Ministries (SMARM) is hosting the event, to be held at Mills Convention Center, for the third straight year.
A local club turned to SMARM to revitalize the event after hosting it for many years.
The event will start off with The Festival of Trees Grace Luncheon on Nov. 23 at 11:30 a.m.  Tickets for the luncheon are available for $25.  The festival will open at 1 p.m. Tuesday after the luncheon.
Returning this year is the Gingerbread House Contest.
The gingerbread houses will be on display for voting on Nov. 23 from 5 to 7 p.m.  The winners will be announced later that evening.
Santa will be there for pictures with the kids on Nov. 26 and 27.
Gatlinburg handcrafted items will be available at the event, as well as photography opportunities.
Admission to the event is free, but donations are appreciated.  All of the donations will benefit the Smoky Mountain Area Rescue Ministries.
