Seymour residents came out to vote in the Tennessee General Election on Tuesday.
Between the three Precincts located in Seymour, 4,456 registered residents voted during Election Day.
At the Dupont polling location 590 ballots were cast, at Seymour Primary School 1,619 ballots were cast, and 2,247 ballots were cast at Seymour Intermediate School.
In the Tennessee Governor’s Race, 3,793 votes were cast for winner Bill Haslam in Seymour, and 510 registered voters in Seymour voted for his opponent Mike McWherter.
In Seymour 3,829 residents voted Yes for the Constitutional Amendment on Hunting and Fishing and 318 voted No.
Winner of the US House of Representatives 1st District Race Phil Roe received 1,845 votes from Seymour residents in all three precincts and his challenger, Michael Clark received 333 votes.
At the Dupont location 324 residents voted for Art Swann in the TN House of Representatives 8th District Race and 85 voted for Marvin Pratt.
At Seymour Primary and Intermediate John J. Duncan Jr. received 1,815 votes in the US House of Representatives 2nd District Race, which he won, and his challenger, Dave Hancock, received 199 votes at the two locations.  
Registered voters at all three locations voted for candidates in the TN House of Representatives 12th District race. Richard Montgomery, who won the seat, received 3,339 votes in Seymour and his challenger Gary Eichmann received 468 votes.
All of the voting results are unofficial until certified by the Sevier County Election Commission.
