For the second straight week a member of the Tennessee Lady Vol swimming and diving team has been honored by the Southeastern Conference, as redshirt freshman Tori Lamp was selected as the SEC Diver of the Week.
The Knoxville, Tenn., native earned the accolade after sweeping the 1- and 3-meter diving events versus Louisville on Oct. 21, where she improved her zone qualifying scores on both boards. On the 1-meter, Lamp nabbed first with a score of 292.58 and edged Louisville's Hannah Gadd on the 3-meter with a score of 324.75.
Lamp, who made her collegiate debut just two weeks ago, has won every diving event this season. She started her UT career with zone qualifying scores on both boards against Arkansas on Oct. 16.
Last month, the SEC tabbed sophomore swimmer Kelsey Floyd as the conference's Swimmer of the Week. The Lexington, Ky., native won two individual events and swam legs on the two victorious relays, which accounted for a meet-high 40 points against the Razorbacks.
