Christians Reaching Out Serving Seymour will hold its first ever Benefit Golf Tournament Nov. 6 at Creekside Plantation Golf Course in Seymour.
With the benefit fast approaching, CROSS organizers say they are still in need of nearly 100 more golfers to participate in the event and help make it a success.
All proceeds from the tournament benefit the families assisted by CROSS.
CROSS serves families living throughout the Seymour community by providing food boxes and other resources to families living in areas of Sevier, Blount, and South Knox Counties.
With an increasing need to serve those less fortunate, CROSS is conducting this event to raise much needed funds for the ministry.
CROSS is 100 percent volunteer operated and all funds raised in this event will go directed toward the ministry.
The benefit is a four person scramble with shotgun starts at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. The cost to participate is $50 per individual or $200 per team.
Hole-in-one prizes include a 2011 Chevy Malibu, a set of Callaway Edge irons, and a six-day five-night vacation at Makena Beach and Golf Resort. Goodie bags and prizes will also be awarded.
Breakfast will be held from 8 to 9 a.m. provided by Connie’s Kitchen and lunch, provided by Mr. Bob-E-Que, will be served between rounds.
A silent auction will also be held the same day at the golf course in the club house from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is open to the public.
Some of the items include tool boxes, a charcoal smoker, coin collection, artwork, golf items and more.
