The Seymour community will have the opportunity to gather at the gym of First Baptist Church to package more than 56,000 meals to feed children in the earthquake ravaged country of Haiti.
Kids Against Hunger packages highly nutritious, lifesaving meals for starving  and malnourished children and their families in developing countries and the United States at a cost of .23 each.
Though hosted at Seymour First Baptist, this is a ministry that is open for the whole community of Seymour.
School groups, service organizations, church groups, and individuals are all invited to participate.
Those who wish to participate can volunteer to be a part of a packaging team that pours the ingredients into plastic bags, weighs, seals and boxes them for delivery to Haiti.
Approximately eighty-eight people will be needed for each hour and a half shift to man the eight lines necessary to reach the goal of 56,000 meals.
A $10 contribution can feed a meal to 43 hungry children, $100 feeds 430 children.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 13.
