Children at the Seymour Branch Library’s Preschool Story Time were enchanted by a visit from Smokey the Bear this week.
Smokey stopped to take pictures with all the children and gave them all tips about fire safety in conjunction with Fire Prevention Month.
Library Assistant Spence Perry then read the children books with a coordinating theme.
The Sevier County Public Library System Preschool Story Time program is designed with a read-to-read format that includes an introduction to the alphabet, numbers one through ten, great books, games, and other activities.
Each month has a new theme from September through June including topics like the weather, holidays, science, math and art.
The Seymour Branch story time is held at 11 a.m. Mondays. The library is located at 137 W. Macon Lane.
