A 2007 Seymour High School graduate, and currently Kodak resident, was recently arrested on a child rape charge.
On Thursday Sevierville Police Department officers arrested Ivor J. Parsons, 21, with the aggravated rape of a child under 13 years old.
SPD Detective Kevin Bush said that police recently received a tip, leading to an investigation and subsequent arrest of Parsons in Knoxville.
Parsons was transported to the Sevier County Jail and was given a $250,000 bond.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigations crime lab, Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center and Department of Children’s Services assisted with the investigation.
The University of Tennessee Police Department assisted in the apprehension of Parsons.
