The Sevier County Right to Life will present “Equipping for Life,” a seminar given by Karen Black Mercer.
The seminar is geared to those who desire to be effective in expressing their pro-life convictions and for those who wish to be confident in encouraging a woman to choose life over abortion.
Karen Black Mercer, known as the “Billy Graham of Sidewalk Counseling” and the “James Dobson of Pro-Life” will speak about the Lord’s incredible faithfulness to her over the past 40 years as she reched out in love to women faced with an abortion decision.
Mercer has taught around the country on her “woman-centered” method of counseling.
The thousands of lives that have been saved as a result have earned her the Dobson’s “Power of One” award.
In addition to her many years as a lay-counselor, Mercer holds a PhD in Clinical Christian Counseling.
Men, women, young and old are asked to join Right to Life’s seminar. Lunch will be provided.
The seminar will be held Sept. 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Holy Cross Church, 144 Wears Valley Road in Pigeon Forge.
There is no fee, but registration is required by Sept. 20 in order to properly prepare the lunch. Register by emailing missmouse53@comcast.net or by calling (865) 908-2689.
