Pigeon Forge Police Officers discovered a body at approximately noon on July 25 in a digester machine at a landfill.
The body, which was found roughly 30 feet inside of a 185-foot-long tube, was removed from the machine by 5 p.m. Sunday, according to the Pigeon Forge Police Department.
According to officers the body has been sent to UT forensic lab to be identified.
A search had been underway for three days by rescue crews for 50-year-old Bobby Reagan since he went missing last Thursday morning.
During the three day search rescuers has searched through over a million tons of solid waste, concentrating on the area where Reagan was last seen.
Reagan, who works as the landfill, was last seen at the landfill at about 9:15 a.m. Thursday.
