Two Blount County brothers have been arrested in connection with a mini storage burglary in Sevier County.
Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals said that on July 4 the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a burglary at a mini storage unit on Old Sevierville Pike in Seymour.
Upon investigation, a vehicle description was obtained and the suspect vehicle was located at an address in Blount County on July 5.
The stolen property was also located in a U-Haul trailer at the time of discovery of the vehicle.
The suspects, Tony and Alex Hardin, have been involved in other mini storage burglaries in several other counties.
Investigators found that the pair had recently been released from prison on burglary and theft related offenses.
The pair was driving a silver Jeep Cherokee pulling a U-Haul trailer when committing the thefts.
The Sevier County Sheriff’s Office is working with other agencies on the investigation and more charges are expected.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Det. James Breeden at Sevier County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division at (865) 428-1899.
