For the 26th year, the City of Knoxville will be sponsoring a wide variety of entertainment, food, family fun, crafts, music and much more at the Festival on the Fourth.
This free festival begins at 2 p.m. at World’s Fair Park on the North and South lawns.
Visitors will enjoy the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra at 8 p.m. as they begin the Annual Pilot Independence Day Concert on the South Lawn. This two-hour show features a mix of patriotic and American music and will be directed by KSO Musical Director, Lucas Richman.
The spectacular music will accompany the fireworks show which starts at 9:45 p.m. and will be launched from the Henley Street Bridge.
Entertainment includes a special salute to East Tennessee veterans, Freddy Smith’s Patriotic Poultry Comedy Show, Brother John Myers Band, the Black Lillies, “Service & Sacrifice” with WBIR’s John Becker, “Your Stories” with WBIR’s Abby Ham and patriotic-themed episodes of the Heartland Series will be shown.
New to the festival this year is a Ferris wheel which will be included on the Clinch Avenue viaduct.
