The Seymour Branch of the Sevier County Public Library System hosts gaming programs for all ages in the library.
     A grant by the Department of Tennessee and the Tennessee State Library and Archives provided games and gaming units for the Seymour Branch Library.
     The Institute of Museum and Library Services, through the federally funded Library Services and Technology Act, sponsored the grant.
     This grant was established to build community by providing access to people of all ages to engage in intergenerational programming for underserved populations in addition to raising awareness of library services.
     Videogames provide literacy concepts by focusing on following directions, map reading and problem solving.
     The July gaming events at the Seymour Branch Library, 137 W. Macon Lane, in Seymour include the following:
     Family Video Game Night: 4 to 6:30 p.m. July 1, and Senior Video Game Night – from 4 to 6:30 p.m. July 19.
