An arrest has been made in the robbery of the Bank East in Seymour that occurred at approximately 3 p.m. on June 21.
Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals said that James Timothy Miller, 43, of Knoxville was taken into custody without incident at approximately 8 p.m. Tuesday by Sevier County Sheriff’s Detectives, Knox County Sheriff’s Office and T.B.I. agents at his residence on Tipton Station Rd. in Knoxville.
Miller was developed as a suspect when detectives reviewed the surveillance video from the bank and Miller was identified as the robber.
Officers also recovered the black Chevrolet Truck that was used in the robbery near the residence, which was also reported stolen from Lafollette Tennesee on June 10.
Miller has been charged with Robbery and is being held in the Sevier County Jail awaiting arraignment.
Seals said that the close work with all the agencies involved resulted in the quick arrest of the suspect. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
