The Kodak Branch Library will host a series of teen summer reading programs for grades seventh through twelfth during June and July. The first program, Make Waves with Eclipse, the Movie Release Party, will be held at 4 p.m. Participants will play a Twilight-themed Trivia Game: Scene It: New Moon Game, enjoy food and a lot of howling in preparation of the release of the movie in theaters on June 30. June 25:
Concert at Gatlinburg First United Methodist Church at 7 p.m. The concert will include classical music and traditional jazz. No admission charge, but an offering will be taken up to benefit the church’s Vacation Bible School.
Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center presents Hokum's Heroes in Concert at 7 p.m. in the center's outdoor amphitheater.  The string band music concert includes swing, folk, & blues, and is part of the 2010 Sunset Music Series.  Admission is $4 per person (members free).  For more information, call (865) 448-0044 or go to www.gsmheritagecenter.org.
Fundraising Auction to benefit World Missions at Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene,1015 N. Union Grove Rd. in Friendsville. Pastor LP Ford and the church will auction off a variety of items, including antiques and collectibles, vintage items, crafts, baked goods, household items and other sundries. All money raised will go to benefit the World Evangelism Fund of the Church. Doors will open at 5 p.m. for viewing auction items and a hotdog and chili dinner with desserts and soft drinks will be available.
