Children adopted from China will soon have the opportunity to reconnect with the culture they left behind.
     The Smoky Mountain Palace in Sevierville is hosting its Second Annual Adopted Chinese Children Association (ACCA) Reunion for families who have adopted children from China.
     This one-day event begins at 9:30 a.m. July 10 is expected to draw hundreds of attendees from across the country.
     “This is our way of saying ‘Thank You’ to families who have adopted Chinese children and have given them a home filled with love,” said Smoky Mountain Palace Marketing Manager Joan Brock.
     This experience will provide the children and their families an opportunity to connect with Chinese culture through food, newfound friendships, entertainment and traditional Chinese games.
     The reunion package event includes tickets to the breathtaking acrobatic show Cirque de Chine, an exquisite gift package, the opportunity to create a special souvenir, and to learn special skills through Chinese traditional games such as the Chinese Yo-Yo and chopsticks/marbles.
     All adopted children ages 17 and younger enjoy free admission with exclusive discounts for the adoption families and relatives.
     Special discounted Dollywood tickets are available for ACCA reunion participants through the Smoky Mountain Palace. The Dollywood tickets will be valid on any one day from July 9 through July 15. Enter Dollywood after 3 p.m. and also enjoy free admission the next day.
     Registration for the ACCA Reunion begins at noon July 9. Early registration is recommended.
