Sevier County Sheriff Ronald L. Seals will be the guest speaker for the June Sevier County Republican Party general membership meeting.
Originally appointed sheriff upon the death of his predecessor in 2007, Seals was elected in 2008.
With more than 35 years experience in law enforcement, Sheriff Seals brings extensive, specialized qualifications to the office.
His address will outline the broad range of responsibilities the Sheriff’s Department manages on a day-to-day basis and address the means and methods utilized to accomplish those requirements.
He will also speak on the relationship the Sheriff's Department has with the state police, constables, city police, the FBI, and other law enforcement agencies and how they interact.
The Sevier County Republican Party meets in the County Commission Chambers on the third floor of the Sevier County Courthouse.
Parking is available in the main lot at Bruce Street and Forks of the River Parkway in Sevierville.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. June 15, is open to the public and free for all who are interested in attending.
