A Knoxville man has been arrested in connection with a home invasion in Sevier County.
     Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals said that on May 27 Sevier Co. Sheriff’s Office received a call from a residence located in the Deerfield Trailer Park off Boyds Creek Road reporting a home invasion.
     Officers responded to the scene and an investigation was initiated.
     The victim told officers that three or four people forced their way into his home in the early morning hours and brandished a handgun and used a stun gun on him.
     He told officers that the three men told him he was going to take a ride with them and he broke free and the assailants fled the home and he then called 911.
     After an investigation, detectives were able to identify one of the suspects as Troy Christopher Cummins, 23, of Cecil Ave. in Knoxville.
     Cummins was arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Burglary and Aggravated Assault and we arraigned before a Magistrate and a $100,000 was set.
     He is scheduled to appear in Sevier county General Sessions Court on July 2, 2010.
