Sevierville Police Department (SPD) officers arrested three men on aggravated assault and related charges on May 26.
At approximately 6:40 p.m., SPD Officer Cleveland responded to Cedar Hill Drive, whereupon a woman stated that three men had entered her home and demanded money from her.
The victim said that each man had a pistol, held the guns to her head and threatened to kill her if she did not give them money by the end of the night. The men reportedly left the residence in a two-tone blue and gray vehicle.
Just over an hour later, SPD Sgt. Cowan and Officer Crawford stopped the suspect vehicle, a 1982 Chevrolet, on Railroad Street in Sevierville.
A subsequent investigation led to the arrests of occupants of the vehicle, Xavier A. Jackson, 19, of Oak Ridge and Blaire L. Passard, 18, of Sevierville. A short time later, Officer Crawford arrested the third suspect, Kevin J. Jones, 23, of Sevierville on Y Road in Sevierville.
The investigation also led to the recovery of three handguns.
Jackson and Passard were charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm while committing a felony. Jones was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm while committing a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The suspects were transported to the Sevier County Jail for booking.
All persons are considered innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
