The East Tennessee Human Resource Agency, in coordination with the staff of the cafeteria of Sevierville Primary School, provides a summer lunch program for young people in Sevier County.
The only requirement for participation is that the young person must be at least one year old and not older than 18 years.
The lunch sites across Sevier County are the Boys & Girls Club in Seymour, Kodak, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Other lunch sites include Sevierville Primary School, New Center Elementary School, Northview Middle School, Catlettsburg Elementary School, Jones Cove Elementary School, Parkway Academy, and the Adult High School.
Other interested organizations may contact Lilly Brackins or Lynn Ann Brackins at the Sevierville Primary cafeteria at (865) 453-4009 to determine organization eligibility.
In order to have a meal, or meals, available, call the lunch site that the young person will be going to or the Sevierville Primary School cafeteria the day before.
There is no cost of any kind for participation. It is a community based program based on the large number of free/reduced lunch students in the Sevier County School System.
The free lunch program will begin June 1.
