Students at Seymour Primary School participated in the school’s annual Accelerated Reading Parade last Friday.
In the Accelerated Reader program the students read books in addition to their normal class work and then take test on them.
“The parade is a celebration of their hard work and accomplishment throughout the year with Accelerated Reader,” said Seymour Primary Principal Dr. Jan Moore. “The program really enriches reading for the students.”

Students wear “crazy hats or costumes” during the parade, said Moore, and walk in front of Seymour Middle School holding signs and celebrating reading and accomplishments.
“It is a great program because it is all about reading and the parade is in recognition of their hard work throughout the year,” she added.
