It was announced last week that Seymour High School has hired a new Lady Eagles basketball coach.
Eagles Athletic Director Gary Householder announced that Brandi Stallings would replace former lead coach Andy Rines’.
Rines resigned from the position about a month ago.
“We look forward to Brandi continuing our strong girls basketball tradition at Seymour High,” Householder said.
Before coming to Seymour, Stallings was the assistant coach at Knoxville Central for four seasons, and previously also held the position as assistant coach at Gatlinburg-Pittman and Sevier County High.
In addition, she spent four years as a player for the Division I University of Alabama at Birmingham Blazers, and in high school she starred at Jefferson County where she averaged 16.1 points and 7.5 rebounds a game in her senior year.  She also earned an honorable mention to the All-State team.
Stallings is also known for her AAU work, where she and her brother Brent Stallings formed the Tennessee Flight Select, an AAU organization that is comprised of 10 teams of various ages.
