Shazad Haider, 37, from Huntley, Ill., was killed in Great
Smoky Mountains National Park on May 18 after he crashed his 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle along Little River Road.
     Haider was traveling west on Little River Road when he lost control of his motorcycle, failed to negotiate a curve and collided into a rock wall.    
     He was riding with three other friends when the accident happened about 5:45 p.m.
     A motorist stopped to perform CPR, but to no avail. Another passerby drove into Townsend to call 911 to report the incident.
     Park Rangers arrived on scene at 6 p.m. and the Blount County Sheriff’s Deputies also responded.  
     Haider was transported by Rural Metro to Blount Memorial Hospital and was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital.
