KNOXVILLE – Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee announced the appointment of Cynthia Crane as vice president of development.
     Crane, a veteran in nonprofit management and fundraising, has more than 15 years of experience in strategic planning and community relations.
     She has worked in management at a variety of nonprofit organizations, including Junior Achievement of the Central Carolinas, where she was executive director for the past six years. Prior to Junior Achievement, Crane served as director of development for the Alcohol and Drug Council of Middle Tennessee and for Nashville’s Table.
     Crane holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee and received a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Center for Nonprofit Management in Nashville, Tennessee.
     “Cynthia is a valuable addition to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee team,” said CEO Myra Yeatman. “Her extensive experience in development and non-profit management will allow our organization to make valuable partnerships in the community and ultimately to impact the lives of even more East Tennessee children.”
