Tennessee defensive back Naz Oliver underwent successful surgery to reconstruct a torn anterior cruciate ligament and was released Thursday from UT Medical Center.
Jason McVeigh, UT's director of sports medicine, said Oliver will miss the Vols' August training camp. McVeigh does expect the redshirt freshman to return to participation during the 2010 playing season.
Oliver's injury occurred during last month's Dish Network Orange and White Game.
Doctors Greg Mathien and Russell Betcher of the Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic performed Oliver's surgery.
