The Seymour Volunteer Fire Department’s statistics for April were released this week.
      Over the course of the month 162 runs were made, 447 man hours were spent responding to calls, and 97 runs were answered by day staffing.
     There were 87 emergency medical service calls, 18 motor vehicle accidents, including two that required extrication, eight structure fires, four vehicle fires, 14 brush fires, and 31 calls classified as “other.”
     Of the total number of runs made by the SVFD in April, 70 were in Sevier County, 72 were in Knox County, and 20 were located in Blount County.
